Reopening of the Éric Kayser bakery at 4 rue de l’Échelle, Paris (1st)

It is in the heart of Paris, between the Louvre, the Palais Royal, the Comédie Française, the Museum of Decorative Arts, and the Avenue de l'Opéra, that we have reopened our Kayser bakery located at 4 rue de l'Echelle after three months of work.

A brand new Éric Kayser bakery!

Now that the premises have been extended and decorated, we look forward to welcoming you to our spacious tea room on the first floor, open every day from 7am to 8.30pm. On a sunny day, you can sit out on our delightful terrace and enjoy a quick lunch during your shopping or sightseeing trip.

All our bread is made on site by our artisan bakers using Label Rouge flour made from Ile de France wheat and liquid levain, with all the traditional skill that Maison Kayser is renowned for. Our buttery pastries with a hint of levain are baked all day long, so they are always fresh and tasty.

The bakery in rue de l’Echelle: a gluten-free story.

The bakery in rue de l’Echelle was where we first started producing our gluten-free products. They became a important product line and we were the first to offer them in a traditional bakery, giving coeliacs new, exciting options they could safely enjoy. For example, we have bread made from rice flour and buckwheat with a rice levain, bread made from chick pea flour and fruit bread for breakfast. We also have cookies, our famous “Indécent au chocolat”, cakes made with pistachios or chocolate chips and sandwiches and salads. If you’re looking for a gourmet experience to share with friends, you’ll find it here.

Great little dishes are also our thing.

Our chefs make the best sandwiches, salads, quiches and hot dishes, and in the mornings they will make you eggs, omelettes and French toast to order. Every day they peel hundreds of kilos of fruit and vegetables so you can enjoy fresh, healthy products at any time of the day. Try our quinoa, amaranth, pasta or raw vegetable salad influenced by world cuisine. Some of our salads are vegetarian and others are vegan, which means everyone can find their favourite lunch at Kayser!

Coffee is also one of Maison Kayser’s specialities.

This cosmopolitan neighbourhood deserves a good coffee menu and ours includes capuccino, tumermic latte and cold brew coffee, served with cow’s milk or plant milk. As we love putting buckwheat in our bread, we’re also offering a buckwheat infusion – a delicious coffee substitute!

Maison Kayser cakes: one of life’s great pleasures.

What is a bakery without cake? Treat yourself to one of our delicious cakes, designed by our chefs as part of a collection that changes with the seasons and the times. Strawberries are back with a bang from 6 April and will feature in our tarts and Fraisier cake, in our delicious “summer délice”, in our macarons and even in our tiramisu and apple and Mara des Bois strawberry purée. From our freshly baked tarts to our (colour-free!) macarons or ultra-indulgent cookies, there is something to make everyone happy.

Part of the tea room on the first floor can be closed off for your private events. Please feel free to contact us with your request -> contact@maison-kayser.com
